So who won the Child and Pet categories of our Spring Photo Competition? Read on to find out!
A big thank you once again to everyone who entered our Spring Photo Competition. We had some fantastic entries. Laura Haley, Kate Hennessy and Thomas Cubitt who won our main landscape, wildlife and landmarks category won vouchers for Go Digital based in Hitchin, which runs digital photography courses. Plus, Kate Hennessy also wins a selection of locally-produced beers from the Old Cross Tavern in Hertford. A big thank you to Mary, Graeme and the team there!
So who has won the Children’s category of the competition? Congratulations to Noah, aged 7, in Hertford Heath for producing this lovely photo of a local tree. Noah wins tickets to Cedars Nature Centre in Cheshunt or an animal adoption.
An honourable mention also goes to Dylan Morris, aged 8, from Haverhill in Suffolk who also entered our competition with this fab photo of a calf. Dylan receives giant sunflower seeds from Douglas Smith’s 22 foot giant Lockdown sunflower.
The Pet Category this year was really difficult to judge as there were so many fantastic entries. But this one by Emma Gray really stood out – how difficult must it have been to have got all these terriers onto the same log?! Emma wins a £30 gift voucher for a grooming session with Baskervilles Grooming.
We also loved this beautiful photo by Helen White of her dog Daisy among the bluebells. Helen wins a selection of beer from the Old Cross Tavern in Hertford.
Thomas Cubitt, third place winner of our main category with his fantastic duck photo, also submitted this beautiful photo and wins a box of chocolates.
Congratulations to all our winners and thanks to all our entrants for taking the time to send in their amazing photos. We’ll be starting the search for pin-ups for our charity Dog Calendar very soon, so watch this space!
