A new website for Hertfordshire
Spring Photo Competition 2021

Last chance to enter our Spring Photo Competition 2021…

The deadline for our Spring Photo Competition 2021 is fast approaching. Don’t miss out!

Have you entered our Spring Photo Competition 2021 yet? The deadline for entries is this Friday 11th June at midnight. Enter by emailing us at happeninginherts@gmail.com with your photo, which Hertfordshire town you live in and which category you are entering. The maximum number of entries per category is three.

We are looking for your best photos of local Hertfordshire landscapes, landmarks or wildlife (see Helen Allum’s beautiful snap of a bee on Rabley Heath above) plus we will also have a children’s category (best landscape or wildlife photos taken by children under the age of 16) and a pet category (photos of your cat, dog or other pet enjoying the great outdoors). See the bottom of this blog post for our terms and conditions.

We’ve received some fantastic entries for the landscape and wildlife category so keep them coming! We would love to see some more entries for the children’s category (best landscape or wildlife photos taken by children under the age of 16 and pet category (photos of your cat, dog or other pet enjoying the great outdoors).

We’ve also had some kind offers of prizes from local businesses.  Cedars Nature Centre in Cheshunt has donated a prize for the best photo in the children’s category – a choice between four free tickets or an animal adoption.

The Old Cross Tavern in Hertford has also very kindly offered us some packs of locally brewed beer as prizes for the best photos in the adult category. A big thank you to them and Cedars Nature Centre.

Other prizes include a Happeninginherts savoury treat box made up of treats from Karen at Country Fare Catering in Hunsdon. Do get in touch if you are a local business that would like to offer a prize.
