Launching our Spring Photo Competition 2021

We’ve just launched our Spring Photo Competition 2021. Could you submit a photo or are you a local business that could provide a prize?

With Spring now fully in swing – albeit still a bit chilly – we’re exciting to be launching our Happeninginherts.com Spring Photo Competition 2021. Once again, we are looking for beautiful photos of local Herts landmarks, landscapes and wildlife, plus we will also have a children’s category (best landscape or wildlife photos taken by children under the age of 16) and a pet category (photos of your cat, dog or other pet enjoying the great outdoors).

Last year we had some fantastic entries, including the winning entry of the long-tailed tit by Liz Cox below in the adult category and the lovely second prize photo below of grebes by Katy Smith.

Are you handy with a camera? Then why not get out and about and take some photos? Why not get the kids out snapping away too? Last year we had some lovely entries including this one of daisies by Danielle Holzhausser, aged 11.

Rules and terms and conditions

The photo competition is free to enter and is open to all except those working for Happeninginherts.com and their families or professional photographers.

All photos must be original work, taken by the entrants. No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.

Entries which have won a previous competition elsewhere or are from stock image websites are not acceptable.

Entrants are allowed two entries to each category only.

Entries will not be accepted unless submitted via the official contest channels – via email to happeninginherts@gmail.com.

Entries will be judged by Happeninginherts.com. All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Happeninginherts.com reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated contest rules.

By entering the contest, entrants agree that photos submitted can be used by Happeninginherts.com for advertising purposes.

Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.

The prize must be collected by the winner and is non-transferable.

The winner will be contacted via the email address provided during entry. If no response is received after three business days, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize.

The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

Have fun taking your photos and good luck!
