More fantastic entries to our Spring Photo Competition 2021 and a new prize…

Check out some of the beautiful entries to our Spring Photo Competition 2021 and an exciting prize from Cedars Nature Centre for our children’s category…

Enjoy photography? Have you entered our Spring Photo Competition 2021 yet? The deadline for entries is Friday 11th June at midnight. Enter by emailing us at happeninginherts@gmail.com with your photo and details. Maximum number of entries per category is three. See the bottom of the blog post for our terms and conditions.

We’ve received even more entries this week for the landscape and wildlife category (see above by Simon Burkett and the lovely photos below) and we’re really knocked out by the quality! We would love to see some more entries for the children’s category (best landscape or wildlife photos taken by children under the age of 16 and  pet category (photos of your cat, dog or other pet enjoying the great outdoors).

So if your children enjoy taking photos, why not get them out snapping over half-term? Cedars Nature Centre have kindly donated a prize for the best photo in the children’s category – a choice between four free tickets or an animal adoption.

The Old Cross Tavern in Hertford has also very kindly offered us some packs of locally brewed beer as prizes for the best photos in the adult category. A big thank you to them and Cedars Nature Centre.

Other prizes up for grabs also include a Happeninginherts savoury treat box made up of treats from Karen at Country Fare Catering in Hunsdon. Do get in touch if you are a local business that would like to offer a prize.

Remember, we are looking for your best photos of local Herts landscapes, landmarks or wildlife, plus we will also have a children’s category (best landscape or wildlife photos taken by children under the age of 16 and a pet category (photos of your cat, dog or other pet enjoying the great outdoors).

Rules and terms and conditions

The photo competition is free to enter and is open to all except those working for Happeninginherts.com and their families or professional photographers.

All photos must be original work, taken by the entrants. No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.

Entries which have won a previous competition elsewhere or are from stock image websites are not acceptable.

Entrants are allowed two entries to each category only.

Entries will not be accepted unless submitted via the official contest channels – our Facebook Page or via contact form to happeninginherts@gmail.com.

Entries will be judged by Happeninginherts.com. All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Happeninginherts.com reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated contest rules.

By entering the contest, entrants agree that photos submitted can be used by Happeninginherts.com for advertising purposes.

Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.

The prize must be collected by the winner and is non-transferable.

The winner will be contacted via the email address provided during entry. If no response is received after three business days, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize.

The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
