Enjoy some deliciously festive brews from Twist Teas
There’s nothing more British than a good old cuppa but how about adding a little festive twist to the mix? The Harpenden-based mother and daughter team Nicky Kavanaugh and Claire Ayres behind Twist Teas have come up with six new tasty Christmas blends this year. Their festive teas include Gingerbread Man, Brewdolph, Christmas Cake, Christmas Pud, Oh Christmas Tea and Yule Log.
Gingerbread Man will appeal to those who like that essentially Christmassy mix of ginger, cinnamon and spices, while cocoa-infused Yule Log is a guilt-free way to enjoy chocolate this winter.
Twist Teas are made using premium quality whole leaves, spices and herbs which is why they deliver on flavour and are 100% natural. What’s more, their teabags are entirely biodegradable and made from plastic-free compostable biomaterial. Once you try these, you’ll struggle to go back to supermarket-bought teabags. Delivery until 2 December is free and a 15% discount is available by using the voucher code RESTOCK.
Treat yourself to afternoon tea from Pickle & Slice
We all deserve a treat this year, so why not enjoy a special Christmas-themed afternoon tea? Caterers Pickle & Slice based at their cafe in Fore Street in Hertford are offering just that. Proprietor Julie Beautyman’s delicious Christmas afternoon tea is available to takeaway now seven days a week, and all is made freshly to order.
At £15 per person, it includes six finger sandwiches, two sausage rolls, two scones with clotted cream, a slice of clementine drizzle, a vanilla cupcake, a mince pie and – if you’ve still got room left – a slice of Christmas cake. Traditional afternoon tea is also still available at £12 a head, and Pickle & Slice offer free local delivery. Call 01992 500988 to order.
